Corrections
A site that explains fine print has to get its own details right. When it does not, the error is fixed in the open and recorded in the log on this page.
What counts as an error
- a wrong section, rule or Legal Notice number, or a legal statement that the cited text does not support;
- a wrong date, rate or amount, including a tax rate still shown after it has changed;
- arithmetic in an illustrative example, a table or the wagering calculator that does not add up;
- a clause explained in a way that changes its meaning;
- a sentence that ranks, recommends or promotes an operator or an offer, which the editorial policy rules out;
- a broken link to a primary source.
A difference of opinion about whether a bonus is worth taking is not an error. The site gives no opinion on that; it shows the arithmetic and leaves the decision with you.
How to report one
The publisher's contact channel is not yet published, so there is no way to send a report today. When a channel exists it will be listed on the contact page. A useful report names the page, quotes the sentence and points to the source that shows the correct version.
In the meantime every page goes through the automated checks again whenever it is updated, and a defect the checks find blocks the update until it is fixed.
What happens after a report
- The claimed error is checked against the primary source the page cites, or a better one.
- If the page is wrong, the text is corrected, its updated date changes and it passes through the automated checks again.
- The correction is added to the log below: the date, the page and what changed. A typo that changes no meaning is fixed without an entry.
- If the page was right, it stays as it is. Where the source itself is unclear, the page says so in plain words.
