About Betting Bonus Kenya
Betting Bonus Kenya is a reference site about the terms behind betting bonuses: how they are worded, what they cost in shillings and what Kenyan law says about them.
What the site does
A bonus page has two parts. The headline is short; the terms are long. This site deals only with the second part. It takes the clauses that decide what a bonus is worth, such as the wagering requirement, the minimum odds, the expiry date, the maximum win and the cancellation rights, and translates each one into plain words and plain numbers.
The wagering calculator does the arithmetic for any clause you are reading. The guides explain one term or one rule at a time, with the section of the law named next to every legal statement.
What the site is not
- Not the regulator. Gambling in Kenya is regulated by the Gambling Regulatory Authority, set up by section 6 of the Gambling Control Act, 2025. This site has no connection with the Authority and cannot decide a complaint.
- Not an operator. It takes no bets, holds no accounts and has no bonus of its own to give.
- Not a review site. It does not score, rank or compare operators or their offers, and it does not tell you which bonus to take.
- Not legal or financial advice. It explains what published texts say. For a decision about your own case, the text of the law and the operator's own terms prevail over anything written here.
Who publishes it
Plain facts, because a reader is entitled to them. The site is new and in a demonstration phase. The legal entity behind it, its contact channel and the name of a human reviewer are not yet published. It has no track record: no archive, no past corrections and no history of updates to point to.
Pages are drafted with AI tools and checked by automated tests before they go live; the editorial policy describes that process and its limits. When the publisher's details are released, they will appear on this page and on the contact page first.
Why there are no adverts or operator links
Section 87(1) of the Gambling Control Act, 2025 forbids promoting a gambling advertisement on any medium without the Authority's approval. The Gambling Control (Advertising) Regulations, 2026 (L.N. 114) define an advertisement as any communication promoting participation in a gambling activity, digital media included (rule 2), and list what every approved advert must carry, such as the licence number and a responsible-gambling message (rule 8). Rule 9 bans calls to action and testimonials in gambling adverts.
This site treats a link to a bonus page as promotion. It holds no approval from the Authority, so it carries no adverts and links to no operator. Where a domain must be named, it is written as plain text.
Who it is for
Adults in Kenya. Gambling is for adults of the age of majority, which in Kenya is eighteen; the Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations, 2026 (L.N. 112, rule 92) bar persons under eighteen, and section 72(3) of the Act requires an operator to see proof of age of majority before registering a player. Nothing on this site is written for anyone younger.
If you are worried about your own betting or someone else's, the help and limits page lists the Authority's toll-free line and the self-exclusion routes.
Reporting an error
If a figure, a section number or a date on this site is wrong, it should be fixed and logged. The corrections page explains what counts as an error and keeps the public log. A channel for sending reports is not yet published; until it is, the automated checks described in the editorial policy run again on every update.
